Blushing Geisha

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – September 26, 2008 - RA Sushi Bar Restaurant in Pembroke Pines and RA Sushi Bar Restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens are pleased to announce a unique collaboration to enable guests to contribute direct financial assistance to local women with breast cancer with each RA Sushi visit.

Throughout the month of October, RA Sushi will be donating $2 of each $7.50 Blushing Geisha cocktail sold to benefit The Connie J. Goodale Breast Cancer Foundation, the only 501 (c)3 organization in South Florida that provides direct financial assistance to help women suffering from breast cancer afford the high cost of medical services associated with treating the disease.

A refreshingly tart, pink-hued cocktail, RA Sushi’s Blushing Geisha elixir incorporates iced lemonade mixed with Skyy Berry Vodka, raspberry liqueur and a delicious splash of lemon-lime soda. It arrives in a sugar-rimmed glass garnished with a fresh lemon slice.

“Purchasing a Blushing Geisha cocktail during October is an easy way for RA Sushi guests to participate in benefitting a genuine cause this season,” says Scott Kilpatrick, co-founder and vice president of RA Sushi.

“RA Sushi has always felt a natural responsibility to help bring awareness to important causes through the success of their establishments. We believe in supporting our local community through charitable organizations that provide direct assistance to individuals who need it the most,” he adds.

“We are incredibly elated to be the recipients of such a wonderful donation,” says Debbie Moore who helped start The Connie J. Goodale Breast Cancer Foundation for friend Connie Goodale who passed away in 2001. “Connie had such a wonderful, vibrant spirit. She was full of energy and life and would have been proud to watch this bighearted collaboration happen. We are looking forward to providing RA Sushi’s generous proceeds to area women struggling to cover the costs of medical bills associated with fighting breast cancer.”
