OCTOBER FUNDRAISING DRIVE AT RA SUSHI IN PALM BEACH GARDENS AND RA SUSHI IN PEMBROKE PINES
Palm Beach Gardens & Pembroke Pines, Fla., November 12, 2008 – RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, known for its distinctive sushi served in a trendy, hip atmosphere recently held a month long charity cocktail drive at two area locations to help raise funds for The Connie J. Goodale Breast Cancer Foundation.
Throughout the month of October, RA Sushi in Palm Beach Gardens and RA Sushi in Pembroke Pines pledged two dollars of every Blushing Geisha cocktail sold for a total of $1,202 raised.
General Manager Jeff Maddick for RA Sushi in Palm Beach Gardens and General Manager Phil Berg for RA Sushi in Pembroke Pines were on hand to present a check on behalf of the restaurant to Connie Foundation representatives Susan Kingcade and Yara Vega.
The Connie J. Goodale Breast Cancer Foundation is the only 501 (c)3 organization in South Florida that provides direct financial assistance to help women suffering from breast cancer afford the high cost of medical services associated with treating the disease.
“We are elated to be able to present The Connie Foundation with this important check donation,” says Scott Kilpatrick, co-founder and vice president of RA Sushi. “Helping to support local charitable organizations like The Connie Foundation through the success of our establishments is important to us.”
A refreshingly tart, pink-hued cocktail, RA Sushi’s Blushing Geisha elixir incorporates iced lemonade mixed with Skyy Berry Vodka, raspberry liqueur and a delicious splash of lemon-lime soda. It arrives in a sugar-rimmed glass garnished with a fresh lemon slice and is available for purchase year round.
“We are so grateful to RA Sushi for their very generous donation,” says Foundation Director Debbie Moore. “The funds couldn’t have arrived at a better time and will be used to directly help support several Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade county women and families in need of dire financial assistance for treatments associated with this disease,” she adds.
RA Sushi in Pembroke Pines is located in The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, 201 SW 145th Terrace, Pembroke Pines, Fla. RA Sushi in Palm Beach Gardens is located in Downtown at The Gardens, 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave., Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Seven days per week, RA Sushi is a welcome escape from the office and a prime destination for fresh sushi, refreshing cocktails and a stimulating social scene.
